I recently lived through an attempted assassination of my work. I had just posted a thread discussing the recent social uprisings in Iran—specifically the brutal suppression of women and their right to exist as more than servants. This isn't just theory for me; these events were the catalyst for my latest film still. Within minutes of posting, X executed a silent strike. My account was suspended for "inauthentic behaviour." No evidence. No dialogue. Just a blind accusation followed by the erasure of my voice.
